Full-Time Retail Sales Associate
Job Title: Retail Sales Clerk
Reports To: Retail Store Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: Responsible for greeting and selling merchandise (such as work boots and apparel) to consumers while providing customer service and ensuring quality transactions to the customers by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned.
1. Gives full attention to what customers are saying about their occupation, takes time to understand the points being made about their occupation, asks questions, and does not interrupt to find the appropriate match of merchandise needed.*
2. Processes customer purchases by receiving and processing cash or credit payment.*
3. Stocks and organizes merchandise on a daily basis.*
4. Cleans store as needed including bathrooms and parking lot pick up.*
5. Measures customers feet and sizes clothing.*
6. Makes recommendations on purchases.*

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of inventory software, order processing software, and point of sale software.
