Volunteer RFP Program Facilitator
Rosedale Development Association (RDA) is a neighborhood nonprofit that works with residents, businesses, and institutions to develop a thriving Rosedale community. RDA envisions a place where all people feel safe and connected and live in quality neighborhoods that celebrate diversity in all forms, nourish creativity, support healthy living, and foster economic opportunity.
Purpose: Through our ARCH program, Rosedale Future Professionals (RFP) strives to equip Rosedale youth with the financial literacy skills they will need throughout their life. RFP is designed to teach middle school age students how to open a bank account, make a budget, file taxes, and more.
Location: Volunteers will meet at local middle school assignments, during after school hours.
Key Responsibilities: Volunteers will co-lead a middle school class with RDA staff to discuss topics related to financial literacy. In addition, volunteers will assist students in completing a marketing project of the instructor’s choice.
Reports to RDA Volunteer Coordinator and Program Director
The Length of Appointment: Cohorts are 6 days long, there are 4-6 cohorts per year.
Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per day
Qualifications: Experience with the topics of financial literacy and interest in working with youth is a plus. All volunteers will also be required to pass a background screening and submit a health status form.
Volunteer Benefits: Volunteers will establish a connection with the community and its youth. In addition, volunteers will have the opportunity to be featured in our monthly newsletter, as well as, RDA can act as a professional reference.
Age Requirement: 18+
Dress Code: Business Casual attire is suggested
